About Us

Wind of Hope Initiative (WOH) is a community-based organization in Uganda. Our team has a great passion of restoring Hope to children and families for a self-sustaining future, especially for those facing especially difficult life situations.

We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to live a healthy and productive life.  Our goal is to serve the targeted groups by developing life changing and sustainable interventions in Psychosocial Support, Education, Nutrition, Life skills, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Agribusiness.

WOH is a local program made up of Ugandans for Ugandans. We promote community participation and involvement. Our charity work is legally registered with Busiriba Sub-County and Kamwenge District.

We currently partner with Foundation of Jesus the Divine Mercy to collect tax-deductable donations in the USA.

Our objectives

  • Provide the basic needs (food, clothing, shelter, education, spiritual and emotional support) to orphans and other vulnerable groups such as families in poverty.
  • Equip children and youth with a quality education both in academics and vocational skills training with a goal of self- reliance.
  • Provide opportunities for recovery and empowerment for at-risk women.
  • Increase vocational skills in adults through training centers and promote best practices in farming, business, and local infrastructure.
